Just wondering how one goes about toning down puppet sex. Do you cut the string to the penis so it bobs less? Do you fill the mouth with wood glue so it can't simulate deep throat? Or maybe you just do some crafty carving between their little puppet legs?

Toned-down sex in puppet comedy 'Team America' gets R rating

LOS ANGELES - The puppets of "Team America: World Police" toned down their saucy sex scene and finally got the R-rating its filmmakers promised, Paramount Pictures said Wednesday.

The movie, from "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, uses marionettes to satirize the war on terror, Hollywood peaceniks and explosion-filled action-movie cliches.

Although the main characters are only 2-foot-tall puppets with visible strings guiding their movements, a jokey - and explicitly - sex scene between two of them originally earned the movie an NC-17 rating.
