As has been my habit the last several years, I'm taking a hiatus from the blog and email to focus on writing projects that have been on hold. There's all kinds of stuff on my plate and I can't wait to dig in.
First: We're currently in negotiations to produce a Kindle/e-book edition of Different Loving (yay!) with two different publishers. I'll have a better idea of when the e-book will be available and who'll be doing it once my literary lawyer has finished browbeating everyone. *polite cough*
Second: Readers may vaguely recall my babbling on about a new non-fiction book about sex that I've been working on. Well, volume one of new book (now known as "new trilogy" around here) is almost ready to go to the publisher. Doing it as three volumes for reasons I will explain in detail come January, but "keeping the price low" is at the top of the list. Can't give you a firm date yet, but with any luck, it will be out before Summer 2011. The 2011 blog will reflect my rabid devotion to this project. I'll fill you in as things progress, and will publish excerpts here. That's all I'll say about it for now, since I share the universal authorial paranoia about saying too much about a work before it's in print. But trust me, when the book is really a book, you won't be able to shut me up about it.
Also new in 2011 will be a brand-new landing page for my old (static) website. It's been YEARS since I've updated any content on gloriabrame.com, but thanks to the graphic genius of Ampola Creative (the shop that does my Erotographica videos for youtube), a live, smokin' hot, and, hopefully, better organized new face for my website will debut this January. We'll also be publishing a new and improved therapy FAQ, with client testimonials and a revised rate schedule.
Now a little gooey gushy globbiness before I go...I want to THANK YOU -- all my readers, all my commenters, all the kind people who send me great images, great links, and endless inspiration and motivation. Thank you. For reading me, for contributing your thoughts and correcting my mistakes, for making me laugh or grow pensive when you comment, for adding me to your lists, for caring about my opinions, and for coming along on this voyeuristic journey through my wacky mind. It can get lonely in here sometimes, but with you by my side, the blog feels totally worthwhile.
May your holidays be toasty and filled with joy. May all your holiday wishes come true. And may all your reunions be this sweet.
Gloria's Vacation Rules: Blogging resumes on January 4th. No email or phone replies until January 5 (except for emergencies and clients currently in treatment). No new therapy clients until second week of January. You get the idea. See you in January.
