via 12 Craziest Flexible People Stretching in Public - Oddee.com
Yep, I'm flexible...and also radically overworked most of the time. I do it to myself (as per above -- WHY? because I can! whee!).
For the past few years, with social media madness, I got into the habit of making this more of a picture blog, with news bytes and rambling observations saved for twitter and FB. I recently tried consolidating news links into a newspaper format so blog readers could enjoy too, but that turned out to be more work instead of less so buh-bye, my pet paper project.
Basically, I can't wait for the next-generation platform that simplifies social media. Cough it up, geeks! The multiplicity of social nets, some of whose only purpose is to track how you do on other social nets, is so 2010.
Being on hiatus from the social media miasma helped me see the error of my cyberways. I'm ending the hiatus but altering the blog content. I'm going to back to a much older format, and posting links to news stories, images, and anything I else I notice or might want to talk about on the radio show. For example, the jury's verdict in the Sandusky trial was delivered today. I need to say something about it (coming up next).
Anyway, the idea is that for the duration (i.e., until I'm done writing my book), I'm making the blog Brame Central. Sex news and stories I'm following, curious impromptu random comments about life and sex and the darkness of a poet's soul (and of course, gardening and dogs) will randomly appear, and best of all, I finally get to answer people who leave comments.
I know the social media miasma awaits in the background, its bony hand reaching for my tit. I don't know how long I can live without knowing where all my friends ate breakfast, lunch and dinner, and which cat photo they like today. But what kind of sadomasochist would I be if I was afraid of a little pain?
Keep the Aspidistra Flying!
