Did an interview about my new book, Sex for Grown-Ups, with a PR blogger a little while ago, and he just published it. Check it out.
Gloria Brame is a full professor of Human Sexuality at the Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality. She also is a certified sex therapist with a thriving practice in the Athens, GA area. Her latest book, “The Truth About Sex Vol 2: Sex For Grown-Ups” serves as a primer for sex in the 21st century, where few stigmas remain but many old misconceptions about sex and sexuality hang on as a part of our culture.
The book outlines the “Three New Rational Rules of Sex” to promote fun and healthy sexual activity. She goes into detail about the Three Rules in the following interview:
In your 3 Rules you write for Rule #1 “Sex is as complicated as the adults having it.” Is complicated sex required in order to be having good sex?
No, not at all! The complications come from negative cultural messages about sex, which leads to people feeling guilty and stressed out over sex. Sometimes the problem is simple lack of good education on basic sexual biology and intimacy skills.
In my office, I have to coax even the shyest clients open up about their most private thoughts. It’s very liberating to them when they do. They always find out that the more they relax about sex, the LESS complicated it gets.
