It was dawn before I hit the sack last night, still catching up after a week away, and I woke early to give an interview to Women's Health magazine about male sexual arousal (yeah, it does not suck to be me), then fell back into a coma for a bit, but I'm finally able to spend some blog time with you.
Thought I'd start with some photos from the event, shot by Louis Shackleton, our fabulous official photog.
I podcasted continuously during afternoon workshops, and got to speak with some of the sexiest, brightest minds working in sex today. Here I am with "professional sex geek," Reid Mihalko.
I was delighted to interview a woman who is my new hero, Carmen Vasquez. Carmen delivered a brilliant and deeply moving keynote speech this year. She was the spirit of sexual freedom incarnate! The excitement and emotion her speech elicited from the audience was palpable.
It was pretty exhausting yet I felt like I could go on and on, because the topics were fascinating and the people inspiring. I can't even recall who I was interviewing here (I think that's Ricci Levy's sleeve!) but each new person was filled with energy, optimism, and commitment to the cause of establishing sexual freedom as a fundamental human right. It was like protein for my brain!
It was an honor and a joy that my friend Hardy Haberman, Chairman of the Woodhull Sexual Freedom Alliance Board, listen in on many of the podcasts and, of course, my faithful Jennifer was always by my side to lend moral support (and fetch a whole lot of coffee-on-demand). Here they are listening intently to one of the interviews.
